This tapestry is inspired from a serie of tapestries weaved by the Royal Manufacture of Tapestries. The the tapestries represent the twelve months of the year, "Lucas months" from the name of the pretented drawer: Lucas Cornelis or Lucas de Olanda, in Brussels in the XVIth. This tapestry represents the month of January.
