Elephant, Tapisserie Art de Lys

Woven in the XIXth century in Aubusson, this tapestry is inspired by the Oriental style which was in fashion at that time. The luminous colors emphasize the tropical setting whereas the warmth of the reds and greens suggest Oriental shades. The original is based in the Musée du Louvres in Paris.
