Description

In August, 1667, the city of Lille (in the background) is won by the French against the Spanish, during the reign of king Louis XIV. The 3 characters on the tapestry are Louis XIV, Turenne and Vauban. This tapestry is a part of 14 tapestries which were woven by the Gobelins manufactory in the XVIIth century.
