From a wallpaper of the 19th century, this tapestry is inspired from a panoramic by Joseph Fuchs painted in 1861 and called «Eden». This very large painting represents a beautiful tropical forest. It enabled the new « bourgeoisie » to « travel » to imaginary countries while, at the same time, decorating their vast homes.
