The tapestry "Départ de chasse" is a reproduction of a hanging discovered in the Belgian flanders around 1500. This tapestry is now on display at the Hôtel de Cluny in Paris. This work of medieval art illustrates one of the favourite pastimes of the lords of the time: hunting with falcons, also known at the time as "pleasant hunting" or "volerie hunting". It also shows a lord, dressed in a long coat, on his light horse, who is riding away from the castle to go hunting.
