This tapestry is inspired by a series of hangings woven by the Gobelins workshop and organized around the twelve months of the year, “the Lucas months”, named after the supposed creator of the original hanging, executed in Brussels in the 16th century, the Flemish Lucas Cornelis or Lucas de Olanda.
