Melchior tapestry
This Jacquard tapestry is taken from a set of frescoes “La Chapelle des Mages”, a masterpiece by Florentin Benozzo Gozzoli. This work is exhibited in Italy at the Palazzo Medici-Riccardi in Florence.
This reproduction is woven in wool and cotton and is lined with an ecru cotton canvas. An eye catcher and a certificate of authenticity are on the back of the tapestry.
The making and weaving are carried out in Flanders, in the Lille metropolitan area.
And for a better rendering and high quality, the tapestries are made in the rules of the art of the JACQUARD process, that is to say mesh of warp and weft threads. It is thousands of threads of different colors that give life to these tapestries of exceptional quality. Our tapestries are therefore neither printed nor flocked, they are woven.
