Tapestry art
The original was woven at the Beauvais factory in the mid-19th century. It was destined for the Elysée dining room, and thus completed the decoration composed of large decorative panels. The original wide border was designed by Chabal-Dussurgey and Godefroy. Thanks to its light brown, green, blue and pink colors, its wide border and the particularly fine Flanders stitch, this tapestry retains all the authenticity of the Beauvais tapestries. The original is at the Mobilier National in Paris.
