Angers Apocalypse tapestry

Reproduction of part of theAngers Apocalypse hanging. The latter is on display at the Château d’Angers. It was woven during the Hundred Years’ War and was commissioned by Louis Ier d’Anjou. It is the largest collection of medieval tapestries in the world!
This set comprises six pieces. They wereexecuted from cartoons by Hennequin de Bruges.
Here, “fire” is a faithful representation of the original tapestry, with its vivid colors. It accompanies, among others, the “Summer” tapestry, another extract from the Apocalypse tapestry.
Tapestry woven in France using the Jacquard process, lined, with certificate of authenticity on back.
