Panoramic tapestry

Tapisseries de Flandres is made up of diverse collections showcasing hangings in a variety of styles and sizes.

Panoramic tapestries in wool or cotton

In this vast catalog, discover panoramic tapestries, which showcase various landscapes through the weaving of large-scale hangings. Like the paintings produced in this style, they are often presented as trompe-l’œil, offering a perspective effect. Nowadays, panoramic tapestries are seen above all as a decorative element to enhance our interiors. Here you’ll find creations from various workshops in northern France with whom we work; renowned weavers whose work is recognized the world over. These weavings are predominantly Jacquard, made from wool and cotton.

Panoramic tapestries woven by Arts de Lys and Jules Pansu

The Art de Lys and Jules Pansu manufactures wall hangings featuring a rich artistic heritage. For example, the panoramic tapestry depicting nature is available here. Discover the “panoramic jungle tapestry” by Art de Lys, created from an ancient engraving. It features  iconic elements of the jungle in the form of an exotic panorama. The house also designs a trompe-l’oeil of the Baroque period. The creation comes from the Tapisserie des Gobelins, an entity founded in the early 17th century under Henri IV. The Manufacture Jules Pansu presents a panorama by Joseph Fuchs. Fuchs painted the Garden of Delights in the second half of the 19th century. These hangings, woven in Point de Flandres or Point de Loiselles, are available in various sizes, from 130 x 150 cm to 240 x 300 cm.
