This rug is a reproduction of Pablo Picasso’s painting “Le peintre et son modèle”, painted in 1928. The original is now on display at the Museum Of Modern Art in New York. A recurring theme in Picasso’s work, “The painter and his model” was to accompany the painter throughout his life in numerous works. Jacquard carpet produced with the authorization of the Picasso Estate, which verifies and controls the quality of manufacture, weaving and confection. This model, essentially made of wool, can be used both as a tapestry (with a loop on the back) and as a rug. A certificate of authenticity is affixed to the back of the rug, as is the case for all our models on the site.
