wool tapestry or carpet
This is a beautiful representation of Miró’s painting “L’Or de l’Azur”. It was painted in 1967. Today, Tapisseries de Flandres offers this work as a high-end woven tapestry. This model is available as a rug or tapestry. This tapestry is made from 71% wool. It is woven in a factory in northern France on jacquard looms. To mark its 135th anniversary, the “Pansu” factory has created a unique collection of tapestries based on a selection of Miró’s paintings. In agreement with the Succession Miró, it was necessary to choose motifs that could be transposed from canvas to weave, while retaining the strength of color and purity of line.
