Miró tapestry “Pour Pilar de Tout Coeur” (For Pilar with all my heart)
This tapestry is a beautiful reproduction of Joan Miro’s painting “Pour Pilar de tout coeur”, extract n°2. Woven in France, in the Pansu workshops, this designer tapestry is mostly woven in wool, using the Jacquard process.
To mark the 135th anniversary of the “Pansu” factory, these weavers created a unique collection of tapestries and cushions based on a selection of Miró paintings. In agreement with the Succession Miró, it was necessary to choose motifs that could be transposed from canvas to weave, while preserving the strength of the colors and the purity of the lines.
