How to hang a wall tapestry ?

Tapestries of Flanders advises you to fix the tapestries from a wooden slat. Indeed, as our tapestries are all equipped with a loop, it is recommended to pass a ruler in the form of a wooden slat, in order to fix your tapestry.

Follow our fixing tips below:

1- Find a wooden slat. Make sure that its dimension is slightly smaller than the width of your tapestry.

2- Position the location of the holes in the wall. Take your slat and position it on the wall where you want to attach your tapestry. If possible, place a spirit level on the board when you position it on the wall, to make sure that your wooden slat is straight against the wall.

Once your board is in place, use a pencil and mark the location of the holes on the wall. Then, all you have to do is drill the holes.

3- Place the dowels in the holes. In case you need dowels, insert them into the wall. Generally, you will need to use a hammer. You may need to use dowels if you have drilled into drywall or a concrete wall. Finally, once the pegs are inserted, screw a piton into each hole.

4- Place the wooden slat. Slide your wooden slat into the housing on the back of the tapestry.

5- Attach the wooden slat to the two pitons. Now you can admire your tapestry!!

There are other hooking systems, even if this one remains one of the simplest and most discreet. If, however, this system does not suit you, we invit you to visit this page https://fr.wikihow.com/accrocher-une-tapisserie-murale, which offers other hanging systems.
