Medieval mille-fleurs tapestry.
This tapestry was woven at the end of the 15th century in Flanders. It depicts the pressing of grapes (left), and the harvesting of grapes (right) under the watchful eye of colorful lords. The richness of the characters’ clothing, the warmth of the colors and the thousand-flower background give this medieval tapestry a very colorful look. The original tapestry is now in the Musée de Cluny in Paris.
