This tapestry depicts Jean de Daillon, knight to King Charles VII, famous for fighting alongside Joan of Arc in the capture of Orleans. Here, he is wearing a standard known as the “wolf standard”. The original, woven in Arras in the late 15th century, is now at Montacute House in the UK.
