This artist’s tapestry is a beautiful representation of Mirò’s painting “L’Or de l’Azur”. It was painted in 1967. Today, Tapisseries de Flandres offers this work as a high-end woven tapestry. The weaving is created in a factory in northern France on jacquard looms. To mark its 135th anniversary, the “Pansu” factory has created a unique collection of tapestries based on a selection of Mirò’s paintings. In agreement with the Succession Mirò, it was necessary to choose motifs that could be transposed from canvas to weave, while preserving the strength of the colors and the purity of the lines.
