This tapestry is a reproduction of a painting by Joan Miró entitled “FEMME, OISEAU, ÉTOILE”. Joan Miró Ferra was born in Barcelona on April 20, 1893. From an early age, he attended art academies and exhibited his descriptive, colorist paintings at the Dalmau Gallery from 1918.
To mark the 135th anniversary of the “Pansu” factory in the north of France, these weavers have created a unique collection of tapestries and cushions based on a selection of Miró paintings. The canvas models were chosen in agreement with the Succession Miró. Their aim was to offer products that would retain the color strength of Miro’s canvases, as well as the finesse of his lines.
