Oudenaarde green tapestry
During the 15th century, Oudenaarde, now located in Flemish Belgium, became a major tapestry production center (over 12,000 people worked there), and it was the “Verdures”, such as this one “aux Oiseaux”, that made the town’s workshops so popular.
Each tapestry is delivered lined and ready to hang, with a Certificate of Authenticity on the back. Tapestry woven in northern France on Jacquard looms.
