Woven in Aubusson in the 19th century, this “elephant” tapestry is inspired by the oriental style that was very much in vogue at the time. The luminous colors highlight the tropical ambience, while the warmth of the reds and greens commemorate the oriental hues. The original is kept at the Musée du Louvres in Paris.
