Five of the hangings each illustrate one of the five senses: taste, smell, sight, touch, and hearing. The sixth, titled &#8220;\u00c0 mon seul d\u00e9sir&#8221; (&#8220;To My Sole Desire&#8221;), stands out for its more enigmatic and symbolic depiction.  <\/p>\n<p>Dans cette composition consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019ou\u00efe, une noble dame joue de l\u2019orgue tandis que sa suivante se tient \u00e0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s pour actionner le soufflet de l\u2019instrument. Toute la sc\u00e8ne semble organis\u00e9e autour de la musique : les personnages comme les animaux paraissent suspendus au son qui s\u2019\u00e9l\u00e8ve de l\u2019orgue. <\/p>\n<p>Le <strong>lion et la licorne<\/strong>, omnipr\u00e9sents dans le cycle, accompagnent la sc\u00e8ne avec leur symbolisme traditionnel. Ils apparaissent \u00e9galement sur les montants de l\u2019instrument, formant comme une s\u00e9paration entre la noble dame et sa suivante. Le lion \u00e9voque notamment la force, tandis que la licorne est traditionnellement associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la puret\u00e9.  <\/p>\n<p>La diff\u00e9rence de statut entre les deux femmes est \u00e9galement soulign\u00e9e par les proportions et les v\u00eatements. La dame, repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e plus grande que sa suivante, affirme ainsi sa position sociale privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e. Sa tenue richement orn\u00e9e t\u00e9moigne elle aussi de son rang et participe \u00e0 la somptuosit\u00e9 de la composition.  <\/p>\n<p>Comme dans les autres tapisseries du cycle, l\u2019\u0153il se perd dans une multitude de d\u00e9tails : v\u00e9g\u00e9tation abondante, animaux, oiseaux, \u00e9toffes pr\u00e9cieuses et motifs floraux composent un d\u00e9cor d\u2019une grande richesse.
