A Mon Seul D\u00e9sir<\/strong> represents the last of the six hangings of La Dame \u00e0 La Licorne<\/strong>. Indeed, this work of art,“La Dame \u00e0 la licorne”<\/b>, is a constitution of six hangings dating from the early French Renaissance, evoking an allegory of the five senses and desire<\/strong>. The work’s evocation of the five senses is enriched by the last hanging, A Mon Seul D\u00e9sir<\/strong>, which depicts the refusal of jewels, testifying to the Lady’s moral strength in mastering the power of her senses. The original tapestry was woven according to models characteristic of an important trend in Parisian art at the end of the 15th century. Today, this large tapestry can be seen in the Mus\u00e9e National du Moyen-\u00c2ge<\/strong> at the H\u00f4tel de Cluny in Paris.
