At the end of the sixteenth century, after the wars in Italy, the Renaissance disrupts the art of tapestry. It was then that the painting and tapestry association became a new art of aesthetics. With the austerity of the medieval time succeeds the Italian influence which appears clearly in this “Return of hunting”. A lord returns to his domain that can be seen in the distance, accompanied by his touts: sense of composition, decor, perspective, border of fruits, flowers and birds … This table decoration perfectly reflects the Renaissance time.
