This tapestry is an extract from one of the six panels of the Hanging of the Apocalypse of Angers. The latter was woven at the end of the 14th century by Nicolas Bataille after the cartoons of Hennequin of Bruges for Duke Louis 1st of Anjou. Here, the reproduction is a tapestry woven in France in the flanders at Point des Meurins.
