Lille taken by Louis XIV

In August, 1667, the city of Lille (in the background) is won by the French against the Spanish, during the reign of king Louis XIV. The 3 characters on the tapestry are Louis XIV, Turenne and Vauban. This tapestry is a part of 14 tapestries which were woven by the Gobelins manufactory in the XVIIth century.
